BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: April 7, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Public Event Permit - Bluewater Elementary Run to Play DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: Five STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Amy Klugh, Assistant Principal of Bluewater Elementary School in Niceville is requesting a Public Event Permit to raise funds for the playground rebuilding project for their Pre-K class. BACKGROUND: The event will be held April 24, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The course will run along Range Road from the school to a turn round point near the Hwy 20 intersection and back. This request has been coordinated with the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office who will be providing assistance with traffic during the event. OPTIONS: Approve / Disapprove RECOMMENDATIONS: Request Board approval for a Public Event Permit for the Bluewater Elementary Run to Play event as submitted by Amy Klugh. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
