STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of Amendment 1 to the Baker Act Services
agreement with Fort Walton Beach Medical Center changing the Fiscal Year to 2014 on Exhibit
A.
BACKGROUND: Okaloosa County entered into an agreement with Fort Walton Beach
Medical Center on June 4, 2013, to provide Baker Act Services to the County's indigent
population. Exhibit A of the agreement is updated annually based on the approved budget each
Fiscal Year. The budget for Fiscal Year 2014 is $197,115.00, which is the same funding amount
as the current year.
OPTIONS: Approve or disapprove.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve the amendment to the Baker Act Services agreement with
Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
