READ rd Pepe lst S72°76 2nd 9-1-7 G b, o ORDINANCE No. @S8./ ~ pi) ae AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8A OF THE FORT WALTON BEACH CODE TO ESTABLISH FLOOD PLAIN REGULATIONS FOR THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION I. Section 8A-2-J is hereby amended to read as follows: J. Flood Fringe Area: That area of the flood plain lying within the area of the special flood hazard, i.e., within the 100- year flood plain. SECTION II. Section 8A-5 is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 8A-5. Establishment of Zoning Districts The areas within the jurisdiction of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, having special flood hazard areas are hereby divided into two (2) types of Flood Hazard Districts. Flood Fringe Districts (FFD), and Coastal High Hazard Districts (CHHD). The boundaries of these districts shall be designated on the Official Zoning Map. SECTION III. Section 8A-6-D is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 8A-6-D (1) and (2), delete. SECTION IV. Section 8A-10-A (5) and (6) is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 8A-10-A (5) - delete. Section 8A-10-A (6) - renumber (5). SECTION V. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION VI. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
