The City Manager informed the monthly status report is in the Council agenda. He also advised the RESTORE Act Funding has been approved by the County Board of Commissioners which includes Phase I of the Landing Improvements, and announced the Employee Appreciation Luncheon on October 28. CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS None. MAYOR/ COUNCIL COMMENTS Council Member Scott Smith None. Council Member Diane Keller Council Member Keller advised Head Start is moving forward with their enrollment."1VIs. Keller stated they need funding, in addition to their regular grant, they need fund raising, special grants and donations. Council Member John Mead Council Member Mead discussed the Consent Agenda and noted all items are studied and reviewed during the budget process before they are placed on the agenda. Council Member Mike Holmes None. Council Member Amy Jamieson Council Member Jamieson informed interested individuals can locate information on the Blessing of the Emerald Coast on Facebook. Council Member MG Moran Council Member Moran noted that funds were withdrawn from the WFRPC and was advised the safeguards are in place to prevent that happening with City funds. Council Member Dick Rynearson Council Member Rynearson noted the Fresh Start Meeting was rescheduled and he could not attend, and he relayed upcoming City events to the Chamber of Commerce Board. Mayor Mike Andersoo The Mayor noted the success of the Fall Carnival at the new Recreation Center; advised the TDC is still looking for a Marketing Director and they are looking at bringing pro sports to the area; the Continuum of Care is severing ties with Opportunity Place; the Okaloosa County Transit Cooperative discussed alternatives to public transportation; the Tri-County Partnership initiative is looking for ways to service the bases through solid waste and other services; and the Mayor has received numerous compliments on the City's management teams from individuals and organizations.
