I am writing to request a proclamation recognizing September 28 - October 4th as Childhood Cancer Awareness Week in Okaloosa County. Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among children in our country today. I am grateful for the County's past support. Thank you! President Obama also proclaims September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in the U.S.   I will continue to coordinate activities including our popular Courageous Kid Recognition Awards, community Get Well cards and other hospital functions at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville among other facilities. -Florida www.flickr.com/photos/kidscancerconnection/sets/72157633029265352 I've included sample text below for your reference.
