A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND
JOE GUIDRY, CHAIRMAN OF THE CEMETERY BOARD TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
FORT WALTON BEACH WITH SOUTHERN MEMORIAL COMPANY
OF HATTIESBURG, MISSISSIPPI, D/ B/ A SOUTHERN MEMORI-
AL COMPANY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, A MISSISSIPPI
CORPORATION, AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
MAUSOLEUM IN BEAL MEMORIAL CEMETERY, FORT WALTON
BEACH, FLORIDA, AND AUTHORIZING THE SAID SOUTHERN
MEMORIAL COMPANY OF HATTIESBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO
SELL CRYPTS IN THE SAME, PURSUANT TO THE ATTACHED
CONTRACT WHICH IS MADE A PART HEREOF; PROVIDING
THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager and Joe Guidry, Chair-
man of the Cemetery Board, are hereby authorized to enter
into a contract with Southern Memorial Company of Hattiesburg,
Mississippi, d/ b/ a Southern Memorial Company of Fort Walton
Beach, a Mississippi corporation, on behalf of the City of
Fort Walton Beach for the purpose of constructing a mausoleum
and authorizing the sale of crypts in said mausoleum by the
said Southern Memorial Company of Hattiesburg, Mississippi,
pursuant to the said contract attached hereto and made a
part of this Resolution.
Section 2. This Resolution being of an administrative
nature shall take full force and effect immediately upon its
passage and approval by the Mayor.
