RESOLUTION 99- 18
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN
APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT FUNDS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
SIGN THE GRANT AGREEMENT; PROVIDING THE
EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Walton eligible to apply for
Beach is
funds under the Federal Department Housing and Urban
of
Development' s ( HUD) Community Development Block Grant ( CDBG)
program; and
WHEREAS, requires that the City execute a
HUD Grant Agreement
following approval of the City' s application.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section I. That the City is authorized to apply
for CDBG funds in the manner and format required by HUD, in the
amount of $ 220, 000 for Fiscal Year 1999/ 2000.
Section II. That theCity Manager is authorized to
execute the subsequent Grant Agreement when presented by HUD.
Section III. That this resolution shall take
effect immediately upon approval by the Council and signature by
the Mayor.
