Balance Hand would go up by a net of the $ 347, 300 and
on
the $ 57. 330 for an estimated balance of $ 5, 038. 061 in

10, 000. The final balance expenditure in the Water
Department would be $ 944, 085 operating expenditures;
making a net cash balance of $ 2, 322. 417. 00. The Sewer

cash by $ 6, 000, for a balance of $ 1, 401. 304. 00.
Mr. deVaux asked if the $ 187, 300 was taken out of
Sanitation. The Finance Director explained the City
Attorney had stated to find one department to take it
from. The City Manager explained the $ 187, 300 was taken
out of Land Fill Fees and will be regenerated when this
is straightened out; the recommendation made was to find
a couple of line items and make the reduct ions, these
are the two that were chosen. Mr. deVaux said he
thought the $ 187, 300 was to be taken out of overtime.
Mr. Wyatt remarked this is the easiest rather than
way
to go to each department. Mr. deVaux said he
understood, but it would mean a rate increase in the
Sanitation Department.
Mr. Maney requested clarification on the Department
Request and the Manager Request which was $ 26. 500 and
now has become $ 178. 350. The Finance Director explained
those are items carried forward that was mentioned
earlier in the first budget amendment which are attached
to Ordinance 1100; those are the items that the City has
already committed to buy this year and they won' t come
in, so you have to carry them forward to the next year;
it does not affect the cash. it
just reconciles the
figures that is being projected going to spend. you have
to carry it forward to next year because you have a
signed contract.
The City Attorney stated Council has before them for
consideration on second reading Ordinance 1100 as
amended; that is the motion before Council.
The
I
Mayor ca1led for the vote on the ! lOtion to adopt
Ordinance 1100, on second reading, as aaended, and it
