A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A TOBACCO TAX
FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEPOSITING ALL
STATE CIGARETTE AND TOBACCO TAXES RECEIVED
AND NAMING THE SOUTHERN NATIONAL BANK OF.
FORT WALTON. BEACH, FLORIDA AS DEPOSITORY,
DECLARING SAME TO BE AN. EMERGENCY AND PROV-
IDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. .
WHEREAS, it has been deemed expedient and convenient for
bookkeeping purposes to establish a separate fund for the purpose
of depositing all tobacco and cigarette taxes received from the
State.
NOW, THEREFORE be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of Fort Walton Beach, Florida:
1. That henceforth all taxes received from the State of
Florida from cigarette and tobacco shall be deposited in a special
fund designated as "Tobacco Tax Fund", which fund shall be deposited
in the Southern National Bank, Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
2. That in order to provide for the immediate preservation
of property this resolution is hereby declared to be of an
emergency nature and is not passed for any special privilege and
shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by
the Mayor.
