o o Resolution 2001-06 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH RELATING TO GIRARD AVENUE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND ASSESSMENT; CHANGING THE PERCENTAGE RATE TO 5% AND NUMBER OF ANNUAL INSTALLMENTS TO 20 YEARS FOR DEFERRED PAYMENT OF ASSESSMENTS; SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDING FROM THE PROJECT ASSESSED COSTS OF ENGINEERING, CITY STAFF SERVICES AND ATTORNEY SERVICES FOR A TOTAL PROJECT TO BE ASSESSED OF $ 163,803. 47; APPROVING THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS ON GIRARD AVENUE IN THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, the City Council of Fort Wahon Beach passed Resolutions 2000-21 and 2000-27 determining public improvement by special assessment; declaring street and drainage improvements onGirard Avenue in the City of Fort WahonBeach; and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was properly advertised and held before the City Council onJanuary 23, 2001. WHEREAS, following the Public Hearing the-City Council met as a equalizing board to hear and consider any and all complaints as to the special assessments and so adjusted and equalized the assessments on a basis ofjustice and right. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH,FLORIDA: SECTION I: The interest that will accrue on unpaid balance of each special ass~ ent is established at the rate of five percent ( 5%) per annum. SECTION II: Each special assessment may be paid in twenty ( 20) equal aqnual installments. SECTION m: The special assessment specifically excludes costs of engineering, City ~ services and attorney services for a total public improvement special assessment of$ 163, 803.47.
