In a nutshell, the legislature appropriates funding each year for beach and inlet management projects. If our submission ranks high enough to be funded based on the attached application, a grant agreement will be routed through coordination at a later date. Although the notice came out on June 1, County staff did not find out about it untit later. This was somewhat rushed so please let me know if I need to provide anything additional at this point. Also, please be aware that the application does not require the Chairman’s signature and that we will be coming back to the Board at a later date with a resolution of support for this application and request for financial assistance.
