City of Fort Walton Beach HOME OF THE c;; r~~~ 921 @~ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1272, R- 2 MULTIFAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT BY AMENDING SECTION 1272. 06, BUFFER: LANDSCAPE REQUIREMENTS, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA; SECTION I That Section 1272. 06 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida is hereby amended as follows: 1272. 06 BUFFER: LANDSCAPE REQUIREMENTS. a) A side lot setback of at least fifteen ( 15) feet in width shall be provided along the common boundary of all R- 1 and R- 1! zones. The development within the R- 2 zone shall be permanently screened from adjoining properties zoned R- 1 and R- 1A zones by a wall, fence, or evergreen hedge at least six feet in height or other approved enclosure. SECTION II. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval by Council and signature by the Mayor.
