of RESOLUTION 62-' A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION NUMBER 61- 7, DATED FEBRUARY 21, 1961, AND DETER- MINING THAT THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH SHALL MAKE CERTAIN STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPROVED PLANS AND DESIGNS, NAMING CERTAIN PORTICNS OF STREETS TO BE SO IMPROVED, LEVYING ASSESSMENTS FOR THE TOTAL COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS, SETTING TIME FOR PAYMENT, WITH PREPARATION OF PRELIMINARY ASSESSMC1TT ROLL,GIVING NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COmTCII, OF THE CITY OF FORT \<lALTON BEACII, FLORIDA, SEC! ION 1: That Resolution 61- 1, levying assessment for the installation of curbs and. eutters on HO]] Y'vood Boulevard from vlright Avenue to Memorial Drive as adopted. by City Council under date of February 21, 1961, is hereby repealed. SECTION 11: That it is determinen that the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, shall improve its streets by the installation of paving, drainage and curbs and gutters, all in accordance with plans and designs heretofore submitted to and. approved by the City Council and as may be amended during the progress of the work. SECTION Ill: Said improvements shall be made on the following namen street: Hollywood Boulevard from Wright Avenue to Memorial Drive SECTION IV: The cost of said improvements will be assessed against abutting property or1 the basis of 80% of total cost. SECTION V: Assessments for said improvements will be levied on a front foot basis. The total cost of the assessment levy shall be payable without interest within 30 days after final approval and confirmation of the assessment roll by the eity Council. The rroperty owners may, however, provide for the payment of the assessment levy in ten or less a~~Jlal installments by so notifying the City Tax Collector, on proper form, within 30 days after approval and confirmation of the assessment roll by the City Council. The first annual payment shall be payable without interest upon notification to the City Tax Collector. All subsequ.ent payments after the first payment shall bear interest at the rate of eight ( 8) percent per annum and shall. be due annually thereafter. SECTION VI: All lots and lands adjoining and contiguous or bound. in.g and. abutting upon these improvements shall have a special assessment levied against them.
