S. Highway 98 and First Street. This is an excellent project that will greatly enhance the city of Fort Walton Beach. The parking garage plan, as drafted staff and the developer, is an excellent use of Tax Increment Funding. It is obvious by city that the developers of this parcel have spent much time, effort and money in working with the city Community Development Services staff to design a plan that benefits the city and works for the project, too. The city will benefit by gaining additional parking that will be paid for by new tax revenues. This is truly a winlwinlwin situation with the winners being The City of Fort Walton Beach, the taxpayers of Fort Walton Beach and the developers of the parcel. We have been located at the northeast corner of Perry Avenue and First Street for the last fifty ( 50) years. We are in the Beach. The Landmark process of a major expansion that represents a huge investment in the CRA district of Fort Walton Center will to build project helpon the momentum to improve the CRA district. A project of this quality will result in additional investment in the CRA district. I urge you to support the Landmark Center Site Plan and the Parking Garage Joint Venture Solution as approved by the CRA Board. Thank you for your consideration. As a business owner in the downtown area, I am in complete support of the new Landmark Center. I feel this project will be a great step forward not only for the City of Fort Walton but also the merchants as well. In addition to the new business opportunities, the Landmark Center will offer more parking for the public and employees who work here, something which has been lacking in this area for many years.
