STATEMENT OF ISSUE: [PUR] Seeking Board approval to purchase one (1) Front End
Loader for Water & Sewer from State Contract.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: The Water & Sewer Department has requested the purchase
of a Front End Loader. GS Equipment has provided a quote for one (1) Kawasaki 65ZV-2
Wheel Loader from State Contract No. 760-000-10-1 for a total of $144,832. Water & Sewer and
Fleet staff has approved the loader purchase. Purchasing staff requests Board approval to issue a
purchase order to GS Equipment for the purchase of the loader.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny issuing a purchase order to GS Equipment for one (1) Kawasaki
65ZV-2 Loader for a total of $144,832.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of issuing a purchase order to GS
Equipment for one (1) Kawasaki 65ZV-2 Loader for a total of $144,832.
