Werle 7 Ee, Ordinance 1204 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH RELATING TO THE BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENT OF SECTION 2-86 ESTABLISHMENT; COMPOSITION, ETC., BY AMENDING SUBSECTION (b), DELETING THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE COMMITTEE SHALL CONSIST OF FIVE ACTIVE BUSINESSMEN OR BUSINESSWOMEN; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION I. That Section 2-86, Establishment; composition, etc. of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Fort Walton Beach is hereby amended as follows: 2-86. Establishment; composition, etc. (a) There is hereby established in and for the city a city beautification committee. (b) The beautification committee shall consist of ten members who shall be appointed by council;--five-of-—whem shaii-be—eetive—-businessmer--or-—businesswomen. The council shall designate one of the members to be chairperson of the committee. Each member of the committee shall be appointed for a term of four years, Vacancies on the committee shall be filled by the council. All members of the committee shall- be residents of the city. (c) The committee shall adopt such rules as may be necessary to provide for the transaction of its business. SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval by Council and signature by the Mayor.
