DITCH BEHIND drainage ditch running down to Wright Parkway
HOLMES BOULE- behind their back fence and said stagnant water was
VARD now standing in it. She' had checked with the water
Department and had been told the ditch was to be filled
up. The Health Department had told her it was a
health hazard. '
Mayor asked the City Manager for information. It
was determined that this ditch was on property just
acquired by Mr. Blake for development and the ditch
would be filled.
Mrs. Thornberry of 342 Holmes said there was also
water standing behind her house and the cause was
from the water tower being drained.

the recent Number 3 water plant when the tank was
flushed and cleaned within the last month and that
this was now complete. He noted this could be avoided
in the future by draining to the gutter of the street.
