Michael Chesser y \ nee DISPOSITION | Fike. | Poaksd Br | ColeCrep sched f 2. des whe Frarthn., Shh, Qnalbee September 2, 1982 TO: City Manager FROM: Parks & Recreation Director Golf Course Manager SUBJECT: Non—County Membership Rate Proposal For the past two years we have experienced an increase of non-county golf course memberships during the months of December through March. Due to this increase, most golfers have to wait anywhere from two to four hours before they can have the opportunity to play on either course. Many times players who came in later ’ than noon were not able to play. Because of this situation, numerous complaints have been registered by our members and local green fee player's during the past two years. They feel that due to the courses being dominated by non-county members, they are not able to play as much, In order to protect the interest of the local players and to continue the non- county memberships, we would like to recommend that our non-county membership rates be raised to approximately the same level as the other courses in the area. This would encourage some of the players to join the other courses in the area and at the same time increase or keep our level of income, Our recommendation is listed below: MONTHLY PRESENT RATE PROPOSED RATE Single $ 45.00 $ 60.00 Single over 62 35.00 60,00 Each additional dependent 15,00 25.00 QUARTERLY Single | 110.00 150.00 Single over 62 100,00 150.00 Each additional dependent 25,00 50,00 General information concerning the request: These memberships will continue to be good for both courses on Monday - Friday. They will continue to pay the 50¢ surcharge. Membership at other courses is good for seven (7) days per week and there is not a surcharge. Kal Bide ij (> RATES AT OTHER AREA COURSES a) Sandestin limit their membership to only people who rent at the resort. b) Seascape may give memberships for November and December at $200.00 each per month, c) Indian Bayou $300.00 for three (3) months for a single or husband and wife. All players must ride carts prior to 1:00 FM. No monthly membership available.
