SUBJECT: Coastal and Environmental Services for Tourist Development Department
DEPARTMENT: Tourist Development Department
BCC DISTRICT: ALL
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Proposals were received from six (6) firms on September 13, 2013
to provide Coastal and Environmental services to the Tourist Development Department. The
Board approved Selection Committee (see attached) met on October 21, 2013 to review and rank
all proposals received. After discussion and numerical ranking by the Selection Committee,
Taylor Engineering, Inc was ranked first.
BACKGROUND: The resulting contract will replace a contract which expired on September
30, 2013. Funding is available in the FY 13-14 Budget.
OPTIONS: Approve or Reject
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends approval of the Committee recommendation
authorizing staff to negotiate a fee schedule with Taylor Engineering and authorize the Chairman
to sign the resulting contract.
