Their credit rating is a 4- A Dun & Bradstreet, one of the highest. In my opinion, the 600, 000 will easily be retired as 2/ 27/ 79 11+ 9 agreed over the 20- year period of time. City Attorney read the following reso- lution: 79- 14 ISSUANCE OF INDUS- 79- 14 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSU- I TRIAL REVENUE BONDS ANCE OF CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH INDUS- TRIAL DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 1979 ( SILVERLINE, DIVISION OF ARCTIC ENTERPRISES, INC., PROJECT), PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 159, PART II, FLORIDA STATUTES, AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS TO WORK WITH BOND APPROVING COUNSEL; AU- THORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS PRIOR TO THE SALE OF SAID BONDS SUBJECT TO REIMBURSEMENT UPON SALE; PROVIDING FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF SPECIFIED COSTS FROM THE BOND PROCEEDS; AND PROVIDING THAT SAID BONDS SHALL BE PAYABLE SOLELY FROM REVENUES OF THE PROJECT AND THAT NEITHER THE TAXING POWER NOR THE FAITH AND CREDIT OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA OR ANY POLITICAL SUBDIVISION THEREOF SHALL EVER BE PLED- GED TO REPAY SAID BONDS OR ANY INTEREST THEREON. Mr. Baughman moved that the resolution be approved. Motion was seconded by Mr. Brock and carried unanimously. IMPROVEMENT OF MARY ESTHER Mr. Rigdon said he wanted to bring up CUT OFF an old issue. This is the third com- pany in the past few years who has moved into the Industrial Park. One of the most heavily traveled roads in Oka100sa County is the Mary Esther Cut- Off. Some- thing has to be done. It is a shame when you go to Pensacola and every road that has four cars on it, they are building a new one. What we should do is take every avenue, even to going back to federal impact funds. We got money from the federal government to build Lewis- Turner Boulevard-- 90% funding. I I think it is time we should bite the bullet and do something about it. The Industrial Park is going to get so crow- ded that we are going to run people off. I think we should figure out some way we can get a road that would be to the west of the Industrial Park. We have to figure out some way to relieve the traffic. OKALOOSA INDUSTRIAL Dr. Houghton said, I don' t think people DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL know ahd donlt realize the effort and I-~~~ -,-~~- r:: 0o 2/ 27/ 79 the time consumed and volunteer time that the members of the OIDC spend in talking to our people in new industries and trying to get new industries here. I would like to say I appreciate the job that all these people on this ~ council are doing. Mr. Hunt added that the OIDC is also involved in working with and assisting local industries. On two occasions OIDC has given assistance through training programs through the state. We are too- ting the horn for new industry, but we also appreciate the people we already have in town and we are working to assist them in any way that we can. TRAFFIC ON MARY ESTHER In reference to the traffic problem on CUT OFF Mary Esther Cut- Off, Mr. Hunt said, there is a need for arriving at some solution. I think we know what the solu- tion is-- to move forward to see if we can It get this road constructed that we have been talking about somewhere in the Mary Esther area, along the Indus- trial Park and out to somewhere around where Lewis Turner Boulevard and Beal Street intersect. I think it is imper- ative that we move forward on this pro- ject. I agree with Mr. Rigdon. We should have another meeting and sit down with someone who can tell us, and the DOT should be able to tell us what it would cost to build a road, approximately. As a businessman, I like to see the traffic, but when I get in my car and want to travel the streets, I like to be able to travel the streets safely and without as much congestion as we have. It will be more of a problem as time goes on. I think it is imperative that we find a solution. l REQUEST FROM WESTWOOD Mayor presented a request from the BAPTIST CHURCH Westwood Baptist Church for permis- sion to cut and remove a cypress tree presently standing on property owned by the City located at the end of Anchor Street by the drainage ditch.
