1. 2 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING HELD JUNE l2, 1954. PRESENT: Mayor Thomas E. Brooks, Mr. Theo Bass, Mr. W. J. Ronerts, Mr. James E. Miller, Mr. W. C. Stacy, Mr. W. B. Williams. ABSENT: W. B. Harneson, W. C. Walker The City Council of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, met in special session at the City Hall pursuant to not! ce duly and regularly iven. The meeting was called to order ~ y Mayor Brooks at lltOO a. m. Councilman W. J." nonerts introduced the following resolution which was read in full hy the City Clerk as follows: A RESOLUTION ENTITLED A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN DESIG- NATED LAND AS A SITE OF THE MUNICIPAL HOSPITAL AND AUTHORIZING A DISRURSEMENT OF FUNDS THEREFOR. WHEREAS, a- committee of this Council has heretofore made a study of availa~le sites for the municipal hospital, together with the architect and officials of the State Improvement Commis- sion, and WHEREAS, the said committee recommended the purchase of a particular tract from the Staff Land Trust of Fort Walton for the sum of $ 10, 000. 00 and WHEREAS" ; the owners of the land have agreed to sell same to the City for the aforesaid sum of $ 10, 000. 00 upon condition that the City pgve, at its own expense, all streets upon which the said property a~ utts. NOW THEREFORE, ~ E IT RESOLVED RY THE CITY COUNCIL OF FORT WALTON REACH AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l. The City authorized to purchase for $10, 000. 00 Manage~ is here~ y the following descri~ed property, to- wit: Block " F" of Park Place Second Addition to Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa County, Florida, as per plat now on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for Okaloosa County, Florida. SECTION 2. City Manager and City Clerk are here~ y authorized to The accept conveyance of the aforesaid property upon certification of the City Attorney that such conveyance conveys a good and  13 market~nle title to the City, free and clear of all encum~ rances, and sttnject only to the condition as to paving set forth in the preamnle hereof. I SECTION i. The City Manager and City Clerk are further authorized to pay unto the record- owners and vendors of the aforesaid property, upon certidication ~y the City Attorney, from the Hospital Const- ruction Fund of the City, the sum of Ten Thousand DOllars, request- ing the total purchase price.
