AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE;
PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF ARTICLE III.
ZONING, SECTION 20- 612, TO PROVIDE FOR EXPANDED
USE OF M- 2 INDUSTRIAL PARK ZONING DISTRICT; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON
BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. AUTHORITY. The authority for enactment of
this ordinance is Section 166. 021, Florida Statutes.
SECTION II. Amendment of Article III. Zoning, Division
1. Generally, Subdivision X. M- 2 Industrial Park District.

Subdivision x. M- 2 Industrial Park District,
Section 20- 612 is amended to increase the
permi tted uses of the M- 2 Industrial Park
District by adding a subsection 11) and
subsection 22), which provides as follows:
11) Business establishments whose principal
purpose is to provide service to commerce and
industry as follows:
advertising, business and consumer credit
reporting and collections; mailing,
reproduction, commercial art, photography and
stenography; building maintenance services;
computer programming, data processing and
other computer services; and personnel
services agencies, which principally provide
technical expertise and support to commerce
and industry uses located within the M- 2
District. ( No retail establishments).
22) Corporate offices. For the purposes of this
section corporate offices are defined as
professional or business offices which
principally provide technical expertise and
support to commerce and industry uses located
within the M- 2 District. ( No retail
establishments).
SECTION III. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take
effect immediately upon approval by the City Council and
signature of the Mayor.
