STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Department of Corrections wishes to amend contract C13-
2058-COR to provide for payment to back fill a county employed Registered Nurse when
absent in excess of three (3) consecutive working days.
BACKGROUND: The County employs a Registered Nurse and Corizon provides an
employ with qualifications to fulfill the duties of the County Nurse to backfill the position
when the County Nurse takes any time off in excess of three (3) consecutive working days.
Amendment #1 would require the County to reimburse Corizon for the cost of covering the
County Nurse position at an hourly rate of $36.11. The cost of the backfilled hours will be
added to the monthly invoice as appropriate. Funds are available in the Department of
Corrections budget.
