BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: April 21, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Zan Fedorak SUBJECT: Request Approval of RFQ for Title Searches and Leasehold Conversions. DEPARTMENT: Purchasing BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request Board approval for a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Title Searches and Leasehold Conversions. (District - All) BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: Various County departments occasionally have a need for title searches during land sale/purchase processes. There is also a need for leasehold conversions that can be administered by those qualified to perform title searches. Purchasing staff has been requesting input for a scope of work from departments and will prepare a RFQ to solicit those qualified to perform title searches and leasehold conversions. The desired result of the solicitation will be to have these services available through a contract. Suggested review committee members are: Mark Wise, Deputy Director Water & Sewer Jeremy Williams, Senior Right of Way Agent Water & Sewer Mike Stenson, Deputy Director Administration and Finance Airports Public Works Director, County Engineer or Designee Jeff Henderson, Right of Way Agent Public Works A representative from Purchasing will facilitate the Review Committee meetings. Staff requests Board approval to advertise a RFQ for title searches and leasehold conversions and approval of the review committee. OPTIONS: Approve/Deny approval to advertise a RFQ for title searches and leasehold conversions and approval of the review committee. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval to advertise a RFQ for title searches and leasehold conversions and approval of the review committee.
