STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request BCC approval of a lease with Opportunity Inc. for space in
the former Ft. Walton Beach hospital.
BACKGROUND: An item appeared in the "New Business" section of the October 7, 2014 BCC
agenda (agenda attached) requesting the Board's approval of a proposed leased space allocation
for Opportunity Inc and Elder Services. The Board approved the space allocation and directed
leases be prepared to reflect the terms and conditions for the use of the approved space by the
respective lessees.
The County Attorney's office prepared the new lease (attached) for Opportunity Inc and
Addendum A (attached) shall be attached as a part of the lease to reflect the limits of the leased
area.
Staff recommends approval of the proposed lease.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Request BCC approval of a lease with Opportunity Inc. for space in
the former Ft. Walton Beach hospital and for the Board to authorize the Chairman to execute all
necessary documents.
