PRESENTATIONS o Christmas Connection a Synopsis: ( Executive Assistant) CO Students from Fort Walton Beach High School will present the Christmas Connection Program and a partnership with the City for the 2014 Holiday Season. Tim Bolduc, Engineering/ Utilities Director, discussed the City' s desire to partner with a program 2 that will help local families during the holiday season, and noted that Jo Soria, the City' s Public a. Information Officer, has been in contact with Fort Walton Beach High School' s Christmas o Connection Program and feels that would be a good program for the City to work with. N Max Imm of the Fort Walton Beach High School Leadership Program, discussed the Christmas Connection fundraising program which includes raising money, canned goods, and toys for needy local families, and that last year $ 60, 000 was raised. z° General Employees' Pension Plan Review z Synopsis: ( Finance Director) E Mr. Tyler Grumbles, with the Bogdahn Group, will provide the Board of Trustees an update on the General Employees' Pension Plan. ATTACHMENTS: 2014- 09- 30 Fort Walton Beach General( Fixed Income and Small Cap Search) PDF) v Tyler Grumbles from the Bogdahn Group discussed the quarterly performance of the General co Employees Pension Plan, stating the past fiscal year was great for the Plan. Mr. Grumbles also discussed the performance of the individual investment managers and recommended changes, including switching the Plan's core fixed income allocation from Alliance Bernstein to Garcia Hamilton, and switching the Plan' s mid and small cap domestic equity exposure to the Vanguard S& P Mid- Cap 400 Index fund Institutional Shares. The vote on the motion to authorize the Bogdahn Group to make the proposed changes to the Plans' Investment Manager for core fixed income allocation and to the investment portfolio for mid and small cap domestic equity exposure carried unanimously.
