Sylvia Hanks, Administrative Services Director, discussed the recruiting and transition plan for
the replacement of the City Manager, and also discussed a recommended 5% pay increase for
Michael Beedie for work "out of class" for his role as acting city manager, based on Section 7. 01

candidates; 4) August 15 -31, 2012, background checks performed; and 5) September 1 - 10, 2012,
interviews of the candidates by City Council, with the new City Manager in place by October 1,
2012.
Ms. Hanks requested two motions from the City Council; 1) to provide a salary recommendation
