Rick,
Last year, the Board of County Commissioners approved a Resolution recognizing October 4, 2014 as
“Florida Manufacturing Day”. This year, the powers that be have decided to honor manufacturing
for the entire month of October. As a result, the leadership of the Northwest Florida Manufacturers
Council is seeking Resolutions / Proclamations to this effect from County Commissions across the
region. The attached Proclamation has been prepared for the Commission’s consideration. Can you
advise on what, if anything, I need to do beyond this for this item to be placed on the next meeting
agenda?
