Eglin Parkway, Suite 100 Shalimar, FL 32579 Ms. Cardreon: On behalf of The Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, we would like to request a Public Event Permit for the 2017 Mardi Gras Parade on Okaloosa Island, to be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017. We are requesting a parade start time of 1:00PM. The parade lineup will begin at 11:00 AM with the official start time for the parade at 1:00 PM. The parade route will start at the west end of Santa Rosa Blvd and end at the Tom Thumb just before the intersection of Santa Rosa Blvd and US Highway 98. Parade entries will then travel under Brooks Bridge and continue to the east end of Santa Rosa Blvd at Pandora’s Restaurant. Parade Marshalls will wear safety vests and work to ensure that those viewing the parade stay out of the direct path of all parade entries.
