RE: Annual 9G-22 Local Mitigation Strategy (LMS) Update for Okaloosa County
Dear Madam or Sir:
Attached for your consideration please find the current membership roster for our
Local Mitigation Strategy Working Group as well as the current list of mitigation
measures from our Local Mitigation Strategy.
No major changes occurred to our local hazard assessment, critical facilities list, or
plan maps during the past year. However, please note that in 2012 the County’s
Disaster Housing Assistance Plan was added, by ordinance, to the Local Mitigation
Strategy in order to help ensure better coordination of these disaster-related
planning initiatives.
Please be advised that one property was removed from the repetitive loss properties
list by way demolition of the existing non-compliant structure and construction of a
structure that complies with all applicable codes.
