ORDINANCE NO. /73 AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED: AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE NATIONAL BUILDING CODE, 19.95 EDITION, RECOMMENDED BY THE NATIONAL BOARD OF FIRE UNDERWRITERS, AND PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That there is hereby adopted by the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the construction, alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of buildings and structures, that certain building code known as the National Building Code recomnended by the National Board of Fire Under-~ writers of New York, being particularly enc a ition thereof and the whole thereof, save and except such portions as are herein-~ after deleted, modified or amended, and the same are hereby adopted and incorporation as fully as if set out at length herein, effective date of this ordinance, the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the construction of all buildings and other structures therein contained within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. SECTION 2. The invalidity of any section or provisions of this ordinance or of the code hereby adopted shall not invalidate other sections of provisions thereof. that SECTION 3. Ordinances or parts thereof in force at the time/this ordinance shall take effect and inconsistent herewith, are hereby repealed. SECTION 1).
