STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Seeking approval to purchase Kubota Tractor for Solid Waste
(R1500008).
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: The Solid Waste Division budgeted $65,000 for a farm
tractor to replace an existing unit which was purchased in 1998. Triple D Equipment can
provide a Kubota tractor as specified by the department for $54,416.56 per state contract (#760-
000-10-1). Purchasing staff has recently researched the prices available for similar equipment on
state contract and found the prices to be competitive. Staff requests approval to purchase the
tractor from Triple D Equipment for $54,516.56. Staff will process the requisition for a purchase
order if/when the Board approves the purchase.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove purchasing a farm tractor from Triple D Equipment per state
contract for $54,416.56 for the Solid Waste Division.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of purchasing a farm tractor from Triple
D Equipment per state contract for $54,416.56 for the Solid Waste Division.
