RESOLUTION NO. 79-~~
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER ON BEHALF
OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH TO EXECUTE THE
ATTACHED CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT
OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR PLANNING SERVICES IN THE RE-
DEVELOPMENT OF THE DOWNTOWN AREA OF THE CITY, PROVIDING
THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION I. That the City Manager on behalf of the City of
Fort Walton Beach, Florida, is hereby authorized to execute the
attached contract with the State of Florida, Department of Community
Affairs, for planning technical and professional services in the re-
development of the downtown area of the City.
SECTION II. That the City Manager on behalf of the City
of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, is hereby authorized to sub- contract
with Milo Smith and Associates these planning technical and professional
services authorized in the basic contract.
SECTION III. That this resolution being of an administrative
nature shall take full force and effect immediately upon its passage
and approval by the Mayor.
