STATEMENT OF ISSUE: A request for proposal was advertised and opened on June 15, 2012.
One proposal was received (see attached) from Tom R. Garner, Owner
of Tommy Mattonies Restaurant located on Eglin Pkwy. The lease offer if
$1,800.00 annually.
BACKGROUND: This is a parcel that was previously advertised for sale. The offers to
purchase were not accepted by the County and Staff was directed to
advertise to lease. The initial term for this lease is (1) year with the option
to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year periods. There are
easement restrictions on the property which the Lessee will have to sign.
The lease has been reviewed by the County Attorney.
OPTIONS: Award or Reject.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval and authorizes the Chairman to sign the
lease after the Lessee has provided required documentation.
