We Home «OOF «OTHE Cm Secor Ordinance _ 823 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING WATER SERVICE CUTOFF FEES, SECTION 1040.11 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA: of Fort Walton Beach, SECTION I. That Section 1040.11 of these Codified Ordinances Florida is nereby amended to read as follows: Each occupant of property in the City using City water shall pay to the City a fee of ten dollars ($10.00) on an account that has not been paid by the due date or upon failure to put up a deposit. Water service will be discontinued to any place having a thirty-day delinquent bill or failure of a customer to make the appropriate deposit. The service charge is due after 9:00 a.m., thirty days from the date of the bill. Subsequent to the initial service charge, if it is necessary to discontinue service on a delinquent account for the second time within twelve months (12) or upon failure of a customer to put up a deposit, the fee will be ten dolars (810.00). Service charges for the same customer after the firs two water service cutoffs within a twelve month period will be twenty dollars ($20.00) per occasion. Upon failure of customer to pay a water, sewer and garbage bill within twelve days from the billing date,(gross amount due date) a five percent penalty of the total amount shall be added to the bill. SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval by Council and signature of the Mayor. ATTEST: J G?
