ORDINANCE NO. 4/0 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH TO ANNEX A TRACT OF LAND TO SAID CITY UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 171.04, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF SAID ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, has determined that annexation of certain property will contribute to the general welfare of the said city and will be in the public interest and provide additional area for the rapid growth of said city. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That under the provisions of Section 171.04, Florida Statutes, it is the intention of the City of Fort Walton Beach to annex a tract of land to said city at the expiration of thirty (30) days from the first publication of this Ordinance after its approval by the Council, and said tract being the follow- ing described property: The Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 35, Township 1 South, Range 24 West, Okaloosa County, Florida. SECTION 2: Any objections to the above annexation may be made in the manner and by those authorized under the aforesaid section of fhe Florida Statutes. i SECTION. 3: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its final passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be published for four (4) consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
