A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PRESIDENT
OF THE UNITED STATES' POSITION ON AMNESTY
FOR DRAFT DODGERS, PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE
DATE HEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Walton
Beach fully supports the position of the President of the
United States on the denial of amnesty for draft dodgers in
the recent Vietnam conflict;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of
Fort Walton Beach hereby supports the position of the President
of the United States on denial of amnesty for those persons
avoiding the draft in the Vietnam conflict.
SECTION 2. This resolution being of administrative
nature shall take full force and effect immediately upon
its passage and approval by the Mayor.
