A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT
AN APPLICATION AND TO BE THE AUTHORIZED CERTIFYING
REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A SENIOR CITIZENS BUILDING
UNDER ROUND II OF THE LOCAL PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAM,
P.L. 94-369, SECTION 107, AND P.L. 95-28, PROVIDING
THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL’ OF THE CITY
OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION I. The City Manager, on behalf of the City of
Fort Walton Beach, Florida, is hereby authorized to submit an
application for construction of a Senior Citizens Building, under
Round II of the Local Public Works Program PL 94-369, Section 107,
and PL 95-28. The City Manager is further authorized on behalf of
the City to be the authorized certifying representative of the City
of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; to process applications, receive
grants, and report progress on any projects granted in the City.
SECTION II. This resolution being of an administrative
nature shall take full force and effect immediately upon its
passage and approval by the Mayor.
