Initiatives Partnership ( SHIP) Annual Reports for Fiscal Years 2006 -07, 2007 -08, and 2008 -09 1. BACKGROUND: 1. 1 The City of Fort Walton Beach, in conjunction with Okaloosa County, enlists the services of the Okaloosa Community Development Corporation ( OCDC) for the distribution of State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funds. 1. 2 The Florida Housing Finance Corporation requires the submittal of an annual report of the distribution of SHIP funds. This report must include all funds expended during the current year for this purpose. 2. DISCUSSION: 2. 1 Between FY 2006 -07 and FY 2008 -09, the OCDC expended a total of 3, 497,417.57 in SHIP funds throughout the County. Approximately 39 percent, or $ 1, 363, 992. 85, of the funding was expended on properties located inside the City of Fort Walton Beach. 2. 2 The total number of households served between FY 2006 -07 and FY 2008 -09 was 134. This averages to 44 houses per year at an average investment of $26, 100. 13 per household. 3. FINANCIAL INFORMATION: 3. 1 There is no financial impact related to this item. 4. RECON AENDATION: 4. 1 Staff requests City Council approval of the State Housing Initiatives Partnership SHIP) Annual Reports for fiscal years 2006 -07, 2007 -08, and 2008 -09, as well as authorization of the Mayor to execute the Annual Report Certification and the 13-  Certification for Implementation of Regulatory Reform Activities required by the SHIP program. 5.
