RE: City of t=ort Walton Beach v Thomas G. Scott
Dear Mr. Lorenz,
1 received your letter regarding compliance codes with 110 Moriarty Street.
I am enclosing a copy of a letter which I scat to you on November S. 2008. I did not ever
get any response from that letter.
I am still wanting to resolve the remaining issues. This property is no longer rental
property, I am preparing to move back into this home. With the loss of my employment I
am unable to hire an engineer to bring the addition to current codes. At this time I wish
to purchase a demolition permit and take the addition down.
In my current situation I am only able to offer paying $ 5000.00 within 90 days of
acceptance from the City of Tort Walton Beach.
Please let me know, as soon as possible as I am in the process of moving, back into this
home at this time.
Thank: you,
Thomas G Scott

Subject: Thomas Scott sett:lement110 Moriarty
Dear Toni and Tim, I am in possession of a $ 5000. 00 cashier's check from Thomas Scott, and he informs us that
he purchased a demotion permit and is already in the process of demolishing the addition. This is in accord with
his settlement offer regarding the foreclosure. Please present this to the Council. My recommendation is that we
accept the offer in full settlement of the liens. The liens are much more than $ 5000. 00 because of the time they
have been running, but I understand the property is in compliance regarding the violations stated in the liens
the faulty addition was not part of the liens) and the demolition will solve the pending violations concerning the
addition. The $ 5000. 00 includes the attorney' s fees and costs for this case, but given the issues judges have
raised in these foreclosures and the Council' s previous reduction of liens, I believe it is reasonable to accept this
offer. Please advise. Joe Lorenz
