We are committed to improving services in the City of Fort Walton Beach. Service quality and outcomes are monitored as part of the City' s overall performance measurement system. This allows the City to identify our operational strengths and weaknesses, analyze trends and target areas for improvement, while being accountable for our service delivery. What follows is a review of key organizational indicators for the City' s primary service delivery areas. For the City of Fort Walton Beach, we have provided an historic perspective of the most recent five fiscal years ( when possible) to identify trends and changes in our service delivery levels. Likewise, we have established a list of cities that are similar in either/ or service delivery ( full service cities), population, geographic location ( local and regional) and budgets. These cities include: Crestview, Pensacola, Dothan- AL, Panama City, Lake City, Ocala, and Jacksonville Beach. The performance of the City of Fort Walton Beach is then measured against these benchmarks for FY 2002. If information was not available for a particular city for a specific organizational indicator, the city was excluded from the summary.
