STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Seeking authorization for the Chairman to award contract for East
County Re-Pump Project Pre-Engineered Metal Building (WS 82-14).
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On November 5, 2014 construction bids were opened for the
East County Re-Pump Pre-Engineered Metal Building and four (4) bids were received. Jimmy
Henderson II Construction was the lowest responsible/responsive bidder at $209,477. Staff
requests Board approval to award the bid for the East County Re-Pump Pre-Engineered Metal
Building to Jimmy Henderson II Construction Company. The price of the bid includes the
complete fabrication, erection and installation of a 25’ x 45’ metal building, concrete foundation,
lighting, access doors, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning and traveling bridge crane.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny award of the contract for the East County Re-Pump Pre-Engineered
Metal Building to Jimmy Henderson II Construction Company.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends award of the contract for the East County Re-Pump
Pre-Engineered Metal Building to Jimmy Henderson II Construction Company.
