A RESOLUTION OF TIIE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY;
PROVIDING FOR FINDINGS OF FACT; ESTABLISHING RESPONSIBILITY FOR TIIE' COUNCIL AGENDA;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTNE DATE.
Dr. Pullen moved to adopt Res. 03- 21. Mr. Campbell seconded motion.
The Interim City Manager advised that Sec. 21 of the City Charter requires the Finance Director to be under the
supervision of the City Manager, and agenda items from the Finance Director should be coordinated through the
City Manager rather than the City Clerk, since it is the City Manager' s responsibility for supervision of the Finance
Director. She explained that as the resolution is written, that does not seem to be the case and could cause
problems
in the future, and requested Sec. 21 be added to the resolution.
The City Attorney advised the resolution she prepared for signature does include Sec. 21 under Section 4,
Conflicting Provisions, and apologized for the omission in Council' s agenda.
The Mayor called for the vote on the motion to adopt Res. 03- 21 as amended to include Section 21 under
