AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1290,
SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS, OF THE
CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT
WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA, BY AMENDING
SUBSECTION 1290.02 (a), AREA DESIGNATED
FOR COMPLEXES UP TO FIFTEEN STORIES;
YARDS; PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE
HEREOF.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION I. That Subsection 1290.02 (a), Area Designated for
Complexes up to fifteen stories; yards of the Codified Ordinances of
the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida is hereby amended as follows:

addition to the C-1 Limited Commercial District and
General Commercial District, as set forth in Section
and 1276.02, all property lying south of U. S.
98 and Brooks Street, between Brooks-Bridge the
boundary of the Community Redevelopment Area and the
western
urban limits of the City, is hereby designated for
the construction of complexes of buildings up to and
including fifteen stories in height. This includes
apartments, condominiums, motels, hotels and commercial
buildings.
SECTION IF. That this ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon approval by the Council and signature by the Mayor.
