RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY
CLERK TO EXTEND NOTES DUE THE BANK OF FORT WALTON,
FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA, FOR ONE YEAR FROM THE
EFFECTIVE DATES OF MAY 13, 1956, IN THE AMOUNT OF
§ 12,891.67, AND APRIL 15, 1956, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$1,298.00, BY MAKING ONE NOTE EFFECTIVE MAY 17,
1956, IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 14,851.00, AND PAYING THE
INTEREST FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR ONE YEAR THEREON,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Whereas, the City of Fort Walten Beach, Florida, made a lean frem
the Bank of Fort Walton, Fort Walten Beach, Florida, which was due on
May 13, 1956, in the amount of $12,89).67, plus interest to date, and
Whereas, the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, made a loan frem
the Bank of Fort Walton, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, in the amount ef
$1,298.00, which was due on April 15, 1956, plus interest to date, and
Whereas, these loans are now past due and payable but finances are
such in the General Fund that an extension of time is needed on both of
said loans,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Fort Walton Beach, Florida,
le That the loa due on May 13, 1956, in the amount of $12,89h.67,
and the lean due April 15, 1956, in the amount of $1,298.00 be negotiated
and made inte one note in the ameunt of $1,851.00, effective May 17, 1956,
and extended fer a peried of ene (1) year from the effective date, May 17,
1956, by the payment of interest due for the one~year peried from the
general revenue fund of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida,
In order to previde for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
property, health, and safety and not for any special privileges, this Resel~
ution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect
immediately upon its passage and appreval.
