AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE HOUSING AUTHORITY; AMENDING
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO DECREASE THE NUMBER OF
MEMBERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY COMMISSION FROM
SEVEN MEMBERS TO FIVE MEMBERS; AND PROVIDING THE
EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. AUTHORITY. The authority for enactment of this
Ordinance is Section 421.05, Florida Statutes.
SECTION II. RELATING TO HOUSING AUTHORITY, SECTION 2-73
MEMBERSHIP; TERMS, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, AMENDED. Relating to
Housing Authority, Section 2-73, Membership; terms, of the Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended as follows:
Section 2-73. Membership; terms.
The housing authority shall consist of seven five
commissioners. The terms of members serving upon the adoption
of Resolution 89-51, passed October 24, 1989, shall be unchanged

two-years~and-one-for-four-yearss
SECTION III. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall become
effective upon its approval by City Council and signature of the Mayor.
