STUDY OF CAP OPERATIONS 36. Recommend that the City Manager send
a representative down to look into the
Community Action Program operation and
report back to the City to assure the
Council that the people down there are
using the fund properly that we all vote
on for them to receive. Also, recommend
that we ask the League of Municipalities
if they would send someone to look into
it. There is concern that the funds are
not being used right, that there are
things going on that should be brought
out into the open and Council should look
into the operation to assure the citizens
of this community that everything is
aboveboard; and when CAP comes down here
and wants money from the City, Council will
be informed of their operation and be
able to vote in good faith that they are
spending the taxpayer' s money in the right
spot. Representative to confer with City
Attorney prior to visit.
I Mr. Rigdon moved that the recommendations
be approved as presented. Motion was
seconded by Mr. Brock and carried unani-
mously.
