Pursuant to Florida Statute 166. 041 ( 3)( c)( 2. c.), request authorization to change advertising requirements regarding
R- lE Rezonings from publication notice in Northwest Florida Daily News to mailed notice to each property owner
within the area covered, saving approximately $4, 700.
Mr. Foley advised state legislature provides that in lieu of publication for rezonings involving more than 10 acres,
the City may elect to mail a notice to each person owning property within the area covered by the proposed
ordinance. Such mailed notice must clearly explain the proposed ordinance and notify the property owner of the
time, place, and location of any public hearing on the proposed ordinance. Mr. Foley explained this method would
save the City approximately $ 4, 700. 00.
Mr. Campbell moved to direct the City Clerk to provide a mailed notice of public hearing to each person
owning property within the R-IE rezonings, in order to save the City approximately $4, 700. 00. Mr. Anderson
