I believe this cost to be reasonable and recommend approval for inclusion in the project. 4. Steel support at sun shades Add $ 800 + 10% GC This is required to meet the spacing requirernents of the roof manufacturer. At the time the drawings were completed, the roof manufacturer was unknown as several are listed in the specifications. I recommend approval of this work. 5. Additional electrical for Book Security System Add $ 190 + 10% GC This is an Owner requested item. I believe this cost to be reasonable and recommend approval for inclusion in the project. 6. Structural support of brick at south tower Add $ 1505 + 10% GC Additional support was required for the brick along the north face of the south tower. Our structural engineer worked out the additional requirements in the field and has reviewed this cost. I recommend approval of this work and inclusion in the project. 7. Step flashing at south tower Add $ 1250 + 10% GC It is my understanding that the step flashing is included in the previous Change Orders for roofing work as it relates to details provided by Williamson & Associates. Mounting cabinets and variable speed motor controllers Add $2250 + 10% GC In a merno to Group VI dated 12/ 6/ 01, our office noted that the mechanical contractor is responsible for the controllers and their installation. The memo also noted that the electrical specifications state that the electrician is responsible for providing connections to all equipment furnished under other sections. I do not recommend approval of this item. 11. One week additional supervision Add $ 1500 + 10% GC I do not see where any of these items would require one week' s additional time on top of the time extension being considered as part of the watertightness change order request. I do not recommend approval of this item. In addition, Change Order Number 7 included a cost of$ I, 130 ( including the 10% GC mark- up) for removal of the felt at the portion of the building to receive metal roofing. The new ice and water shield was installed over the felt. I recommend that the next AlA issued Change Order deduct this cost from the contract.
