SUBJECT: LEASE - ALLWOOD FURNITURE LEASE- UNITS A & B

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Staff requests BCC Approval of Lease Agreement between
Okaloosa County Water & Sewer and Allwood Furniture at 1310 Oddfellow Road - Units A &
B, Fort Walton Beach, Florida. This unit is located in a building owned by Okaloosa County
Water & Sewer.
BACKGROUND: Okaloosa County Water & Sewer purchased the building on the east side of
Oddfellow Road in 2006, and currently has five tenants resulting in $37,830.00 rent annually.
This lease would be for the standard one year term - 10/1/2014 - 9/30/2015 with the option to
extend the lease for two additional terms of one year each. A copy of the lease is attached. The
lease language has been updated by the County Attorney. The annual rent for this lease will be
$10,800.00 payable as 12-$900.00 monthly payments.
OPTIONS: Approve or deny the Lease Agreement with Tim Isaac of Allwood Furniture.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends approval by the BCC to authorize the Chairman
to execute the Lease Agreement with Tim Isaac of Allwood Furniture for an annual total of
$10,800.00, payable as 12 monthly payments of $900.00.
